My Life Before SSC GD: Teaching Job + Dream of a Government Career

When I started preparing for SSC exams, I was teaching at a private school and writing news content on the side. Writing sharpened my research skills and consistency. Balancing teaching, writing and preparation was hard, but I had one goal: crack a government exam.

The salary was limited and, like many middle-class families, we weren't financially strong. I wanted a government job and a secure future for my family. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I believed consistency would pay off.

How My SSC Preparation Started

I focused on SSC CHSL, SSC MTS and SSC GD. Balancing work and study left me exhausted, so I reminded myself every day:

"Hard work is heavy, but regret is heavier."

Joining Coaching and Building a Proper Routine

I joined coaching to understand the syllabus, exam pattern, time management and faster problem-solving. But I learned that coaching can guide you; selection depends on your self-study.

My routine had two rules: practise daily and revise regularly.

My 3-Year Preparation Phase: Struggle, Failures, and Learning

It took me nearly 3 years of continuous preparation.

During this time I also appeared in SSC CHSL and SSC CGL. I wasn't selected, but those attempts gave me exam experience, confidence and a clearer view of my mistakes.

The biggest lesson: "Never stop after failure. Learn, improve, and continue."

The Turning Point: Cracking SSC GD 2018

With consistent practice and revision, I cracked SSC GD 2018 — the result of late-night study, balancing a job with preparation, and believing in myself when results weren't coming.

Physical Test (PET/PST)

In SSC GD, the written exam is only the first step. Next came the Physical Test: running, chest and height measurement, and other physical standards. I trained for it and cleared every stage.

"Written clears the cutoff, but fitness clears the final selection."

Medical Examination: CRPF Camp, Prayagraj (Allahabad)

After PET/PST, I went to the CRPF camp in Prayagraj (then Allahabad) for the medical examination. The checks were strict, and I passed all of them. That was when I felt: "Now I am very close to my dream."

Joining BSF: A Proud Moment of My Life

After the written exam, physical test and medical, I joined the BSF as a Constable (GD) in 2022. It was one of the proudest moments of my life — a result of my hard work, discipline and my family's prayers.

I served for one year. It taught me discipline, punctuality, mental strength, teamwork and responsibility.

Why I Resigned After 1 Year

I resigned in 2023, after one year, for personal reasons. I still respect the uniform and what it taught me.

My New Journey: Blogging and Content Writing

I then moved into blogging and content writing on government jobs, exam preparation and government schemes.

What I do today

From exam preparation to building a company

In 2024, I co-founded DIGIVILL TECH LLP, and after that I built SarkariJob.com, followed by MyRTOBuddy.com and DigiIDNow.com.

I am the founder and owner of SarkariJob.com, where I publish reliable, up-to-date information for aspirants across India. My goal is to give students accurate information backed by real experience.

What SSC GD Taught Me

01

Consistency is everything

Even 2 hours daily is enough if you do it for months.

02

Failure is part of success

I appeared in SSC CHSL and CGL too, and those exams improved me.

03

Fitness matters

In SSC GD, physical preparation is as important as written preparation.

04

Background doesn't decide your future

Family conditions may be weak, but your mindset must be strong.
